Put the Copper in the Refiner, with fuel, and craft – it’s as simple as that. Add Copper, or any of the other resources (Cadmium, Emeril or Indium) that make it on the left, add fuel (Carbon or Condensed Carbon) at the top, and start it crafting, and you’ll get Chromatic Metal on the right. Hooray!

How do I get more chromatic metal?
While Copper is definitely the easiest way to make Chromatic Metal, you can actually use Cadmium, Emeril and Indium as well. Using rarer metals will yield more Chromatic Metal, so keep an eye out for them in your travels. They’re not really worth seeking out, as they can be quite rare to find.
Can you buy chromatic metal NMS?
Source. Chromatic Metal for purchase from a Galactic Trade Terminal. Available for purchase from some Galactic Trade Terminals.
How do you make magnetized ferrites?
Magnetised Ferrite can be refined using a Refiner with the following ingredients:
- Ferrite Dust x1 + Copper x1 → Magnetised Ferrite x1 (“Stellar/Metal Fusion”, 0.9 sec./unit output)
- Ferrite Dust x1 + Cadmium x1 → Magnetised Ferrite x2 (“Stellar/Metal Fusion”, 0.9 sec./unit output)
How do you make metal plating?
Crafting the Metal Plating All you have to do is collect 50 Ferrite Dust from the rocks you can find surrounding your ship. When you have enough you can craft the Metal Plating in your inventory and add it to your ship. You can craft Metal Plating and other objects in your Inventory.
Can I buy chromatic metal in no man’s sky?
Chromatic Metal cannot be found in naturally occuring sources. You need to craft it, buy it, or if you’re lucky find it lying around in containersomewhere – although there’s no set place to go looking, and you’ll only find small amounts in containers, so that really isn’t a reliable option.
How do you craft Pugneum?
10 Pugneum = 1 Nanite Cluster. 2 Pure Ferrite + 1 Pugneum = 3 Magnetised Ferrite. 1 Sodium + 1 Pugneum = 1 Sodium Nitrate. 1 Sodium Nitrate + 1 Pugneum = 3 Sodium Nitrate.
How do you make deuterium?
Deuterium is created through the process of refining Di-hydrogen and Tritium in either a medium or large refiner. You need these larger refiners because the material requires two slots to create. Di-hydrogen is found on pretty much every planet, located in veins of blue crystal minerals.
How do you get crafting blueprints in NMS?
Blueprints can be found in a variety of places, including: Crashed Ships, Manufacturing Facilities, Operations Centres, Observatories, and Containers. Many blueprints may be awarded through base building missions. Many blueprints can be awarded by practicing language with Korvax NPCs and using technology-related words.
What is the most expensive resource in no man’s sky?
Activated Indium is the most expensive element at over 900 units each. The most valuable items you can find are rare artifacts or bones that can be worth somewhere between 1-2 million units.
Where do you get Geodesite blueprints?
- Blueprint can be found in Manufacturing Facilities and Operations Centres, or purchased from Synthesis Laboratory for 250.
- Can be obtained from Frigate expeditions.
- Can be received after analysing Glowing Mineral.
How do you make Emeril?
Once the player has Medium Refiner/Large Refiner, they can use it to produce limitless Emeril:
- Start with x5 Emeril.
- Refine x2 Emeril to create x3 Chromatic Metal.
- Refine x3 Emeril and x3 Chromatic Metal to create x6 Emeril.
- Repeat steps 2-3, creating x1 extra Emeril for every x5 Emeril started with.
How do you activate indium?
- It can be found on planets orbiting blue stars (typically extreme weather planets). It’s easy to spot because of its specific blue color.
- Can be returned by Frigate expeditions.
How do you refine condensed carbon?
Condensed Carbon can be refined using a Refiner with the following ingredients:
- Carbon Crystal x1 → Condensed Carbon x150 (“Carbon Melting”, 2 sec./unit output)
- Carbon x2 → Condensed Carbon x1 (“Condense Carbon”, 0.45 sec./unit output)
