FAQ: What is snapshot herbicide?

Snapshot is a selective pre-emergent herbicide that provides control of listed annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in landscape ornamentals, ground covers, perennials, non-bearing fruit and nut trees, container grown ornamentals, non-bearing vineyards, field-grown ornamentals and non-cropland.

When should I apply snapshot?

Snapshot can be applied in early spring, late summer to early fall, or immediately after cultivation.

What does Snapshot kill?

Snapshot provides up to eight months of control of the most common broadleaf and grassy weeds; all without harming your existing plantings. An annual application is recommended to greatly reduce new weeds from forming. NOTE: Snapshot does not kill existing weeds – it is a PRE-emergent.

Is snapshot herbicide safe?

Snapshot 2.5 TG is safe to use if applied according to label directions so read the label carefully and take heed of the warnings. Always wear the proper PPE before applying. Pets and children should be kept away from the lawn until after application has been completed and the teh treatment site is dry.

Does snapshot control nutsedge?

Will this product kill nutsedge in my flower bed? Answer: It should definitely help in prevention of growth of any new vegetation. It is a pre emergent which prevents the growth of weeds, etc.

Will snapshot kill flowers?

Snapshot is not known to be volatile and should not harm the other plants as long as they do not share the same soil.

Is snapshot herbicide safe for dogs?

Answer: Snapshot 2.5 TG is pet-safe if used as directed. Keep pets out of the area while the product is being applied and watered in, and until the area is thoroughly dry.

Can you use snapshot in a vegetable garden?

Answer: No, Snapshot can only be used on non-bearing plants. We do carry Fertilome Over the Top Grass Killer that can be used in your vegetable garden (please read the product label to be sure your vegetable are listed on the label).

How do you take a Preemergent snapshot?

Early Spring and Fall are the most effective times to apply pre-emergent herbicides. They can be applied throughout the year, and will still prevent new weeds that sprout, however most weeds sprout during spring and fall.
