FAQ: How do you remove a throttle cable from a carburetor ATV?

Open the throttle fully by hand so the cable is loose. There is a slotted brass piece that traps the end of the cable. With the cable loose enough the brass piece comes out towards you and the cable slips out of the brass piece(don’t lose it). You can then unscrew the cable from the carb and pull it out.
